CD Nr. 3: Palm Court Christmas

Mastersound 1818 (1999). This recording features Michele Gingras on clarinet, with strings and piano. Palm Court style is like "salon music", soothing, very pleasant to listen to. 14 Christmas pieces, 55 minutes of music. -Review

CD Nr. 4: Arias for the Soul

R&R 001 (2000). This recording features Michele Gingras on clarinet, and Randy Runyon on organ. A collection of soothing meditation music by composers such as Corelli, Bach, Fauré, and Massenet. One piece on bass clarinet (Dvorak), and the wonderful theme from Schindler's List are also included. 20 pieces, 66 minutes of music.-Review

CD Nr. 5: Klezmer Tunes with a Classical Touch, Vol. 2 by Daniel Galay

OR-TAV (Israel, 2005). Listen! This recording comes with a sheet music book with 18 klezmer Tunes (vol. 2) by Israeli composer Daniel Galay. The solo clarinet and violin parts are in two separate books, and the piano part is on the enclosed CD as a .pdf file. Michele Gingras (clarinet) and Ron Matson (piano) recorded all pieces in the book to help klezmer novices with performance practices of this genre. Michele Gingras' articles Performances Tips for Clarinetists and Performances Tips for Violinists are included in the respective books. 18 pieces, 45 minutes of music. The CD will be called Klassical Klezmer (MSR Classics label TBA in 2008). 18 klezmer Tunes (vol. 1) by Israeli composer Daniel Galay. The book (vol. 1) was published several years ago and is available separately; it contains a clarinet part, a violin part, and a piano part. Michele Gingras (clarinet) and Ron Matson (piano). This CD is coming soon in 2008!

CD Nr. 11: Music for Winds, Vol. 1

SOLD OUT! Mastersound-032The Prague Wind Quintet and the Miami Wind Quintet presented collaborative concerts in the United States and in the Czech republic for the last several years. This disc, recorded in Prague in 1994, is the first of a sequence of three collaborative recordings produced by these ensembles. In this recording, members of the Prague Wind Quintet perform the principal wind parts in the Gounod Petite Symphonie, while members of the Miami Wind Quintet are heard in the principal roles in the Bernard Divertissement and the Hummel Octet-Partita. -Review

CD Nr. 12: Music for Winds, Vol. 2

Mastersound-035Wind octets by Krommer. This disc, recorded in Prague, May 17, 18, and19, 1995, is the second of a sequence of three collaborative recordings to be produced by the Prague Wind Quintet and the Miami Wind Quintet. In this recording, Prague musicians perform the principal wind parts in Partita No. 69, while the Miami Wind Quintet members perform the principal wind parts in partitas 67 and 77. -Review

CD Nr. 13: Music for Winds-Haydn

This disc, recorded in Prague in 1998, is the last of a sequence of three collaborative recordings to be produced by the Prague WindQuintet and the Miami Wind Quintet. Includes Haydn's Divertimento in Eb major, Hob. 11, Krommer's Partita in C minor, and Haydn's Partita in Eb major, Hob. 11, No. 12. 58 minutes. -Review
