| Comments: | Historical notes by Pamela Fox. The Prague Wind Quintet and the Miami Wind Quintet have presented collaborative concerts in the United States and in the Czech republic. This disc, recorded in Pragaue, June 11, 12, and 13, 1994, is the first of a sequence of collaborative recordings to be produced by these ensembles. In this recording. members of the Prague Wind Quintet perform the principle wind parts in the Gounod Petit Symphonie while members of the Miami Wind Quintet are heard in the principal roles in the Bernard Divertissement and the Hummel Octet–Partita |
